GayCharlotte Film Festival Builds Bridge with Charlotte Jewish Film Festival
By:
Gay Charlotte Film Festival
The Second Annual GayCharlotte Film Festival achieved diversity while overcoming adversity and built a monumental bridge with the Charlotte Jewish Film Festival. When unprecedented snowfall and ice storms turned Charlotte’s streets into skating rinks during the GayCharlotte Film Festival, organizers worked fast to reschedule over half the movies. Notwithstanding adverse weather, The Festival brought a remarkably-diverse group of films to Charlotte’s LGBT community. In addition, a monumental bridge was built between the GayCharlotte Film Festival and the Charlotte Jewish Film Festival which is scheduled for March 4 – 14. As a result, straight members of Charlotte’s Jewish Community attended the GayCharlotte Film Festival. “And,” states GayCharlotte Film Festival Director Teresa Davis, “now we’re assisting the Jewish Film Festival with advertising and film projection support!” |
