Film Festival Tries Again This Weekend

The GayCharlotte Film Festival will try again, this Saturday and Sunday, to bring a great set of LGBT movies to Charlotte. Heavy snow storms forced festival planners to postpone and reschedule many of the movies set for the last week in January. "We were able to show many of the gay men's movies," explained Festival Director Teresa Davis, "but by Saturday morning, it was clear that our full slate of womyn's movies would have to be rescheduled." According to Davis, so many LGBT events take place this time of year that she feels fortunate she could find another date. "The movies are shown at Charlotte's Lesbian & Gay Community Center, and The Center's calendar is always jam-packed this time of year," adds Davis.
